EATOILS(TM) SUPER SRV(TM) Saves Time And Money While Controlling Septic System Odors

Sometimes we need to remember that the value of a product is measured by 1) what it does for us and 2) the value of the product compared to others in a meaningful way - not in how much we saved at the checkout counterA product that doesn't work is of little value and it usually is a complete waste of our hard earned money.  Septic system treatment products are a good example of this: their purpose is to break down the waste materials in our septic systems and keep them running clear and trouble free.

Some Septic treatment products do this well and we are rewarded by years of uninterrupted service, but many are either too harsh(chemical) or too weak(not enough active ingredients) to perform as expected.  Chemical treatment products usually address the odors but they don't look after the wastes as well as natural microbial treatment products.  The typical result of using the wrong product or dosage is a pungent odor from the system or, more often, a requirement for more frequent pumping - at quite a substantial cost (usually in the $300. or more range per time)! If your system is healthy and being treated with the 'right stuff' it should be pumped out every 5 - 7 years.

If your product is on the weak side you may never know - as most of us never look inside our septic tanks to see how they are doing.  We just go along, merrily adding our treatment product to the toilet once a month (or weekly, depending on the product) and we pay no attention to the result.  Unless we hear otherwise, all is well and therefore, we must be doing the right thing - because we don't know anything else!

Beware of this condition!  You could be in for a surprise when it comes time to pump out your septic tank.  If your product is too weak the waste materials in your tank will not break down as readily and you may be in for more costs as a result due to: 1) too much build-up = more frequent clean outs, 2) build-up in the tank requiring additional maintenance, 3) blocked lines requiring maintenance, and 4) poor circulation requiring maintenance.

If you are using a microbial treatment (bacteria or enzymes or a combination) the important question is how concentrated is the dose?  Some are more concentrated than others - some are actually the base or primary active  ingredient in others.  For example, our EATOILS SUPER SRV is super concentrated and it is the actually the active ingredient for many of the 'ready to use' septic treatment products on the market today.  These products contain 'fillers' and 'bulk' so that the cost per dose can be lower for you, the consumer (sometimes diluting our product down to as little as 5% of the finished product).  You could be putting up to a cup of material (that may end up blocking your system) down your toilet or as little as an ounce or two - every product is different (and impacts your tank differently).  As I mentioned at the top of this article, it is important to know the true value of the products you buy.

Our EATOILS SUPER SRV provides a much greater value to you because it delivers real results!  It is GREENER-CHOICE APPROVED GREEN and is safe for you and your family.  If you use our SUPER SRV in your septic system (one small scoop per month) and you avoid the use of harsh chemicals in your home, you will find that your septic system is free running and virtually odorless.  In addition, you will find that you will be able to go much further between pump outs, saving you both time and money in the long run.

Many of our clients report that quite often when the pumper truck comes to their homes they actually find the tank is - both clean and empty! - Meaning they don't need to pump because the system is very happy and healthy!

Now for the value.  Many products are on the market at low and high price points per container.  A $10.00 or $20.00 price tag means very little if you can't measure it against its competition.  What you need to measure is how long a period the product will cover (in other words: if I use this product as directed, starting today, how long will it last before I need to buy again?).  Some products contain sachets or dissolvable packets - calculate out the amount of time it will take to use the contents of the container.  Then pick a period in time (our product will take 2.5 years to use the contents of the container) and figure out how much of each product you will need to cover the same time frame - NOW COMPARE THE COSTS.  In addition, you should consider the cost of pumping in the total cost of the product - if you are pumping every 3 years you have just added another $400.00+ to the cost of your product every 3 years. A product like ours may look expensive because the cost for the package is $50. but it can actually become one of your less expensive alternatives once you calculate out the total cost on an equal footing with the other products offered.

When you compare the results of how each of the products work, and how much each product costs over time we are sure that you'll see the overwhelming value of our EATOILS SUPER SRV.

Regular Roof Cleaning Actually Makes Sense - Use EATOILS™ BT200™

According to Dr. Victor H Morgenroth, who is a semi-retired adjunct professor at UM; the " dirt " on roofs could actually be causing illness. Here is an excerpt from an article that was written by Dr. Morgenroth.

Having your roof cleaned actually makes sense.

It isn't just aesthetics. While people like to say that dirty roofs lower a property's value and may make it hard to sell, the "dirt" on a roof actually shortens its life span and can even present a health hazard. Furthermore, the "dark stains" on a roof act as a sponge to absorb the sun's heat, which causes a rise in the temperature inside a home or building, creating higher air conditioning bills.

The dirt isn't just dust – It's alive. Some of the black or very dark roof stains are caused by a resilient type of algae, Gloeocapsa magma (a type of blue-green algae commonly found in climates with warm, humid summers). The algae grow in standing water, as well as in our lakes and ponds. The algae spores are carried to our roofs from the water sources by the wind and birds, and then from roof to roof where it grows and feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles and the real dirt on tile roofs may be in some cases the tiles themselves. Worse still, as the algae grow, they retain water and foster the growth of other roof inhabitants.

The black stains are also very likely to harbor a number of molds or fungi. Unlike algae the fungi on our roofs lacks chlorophyll. They are unable to manufacture food from raw materials. So, it must get nutrition from some form of organic matter. To thrive, these heterotrophs, who used to be called saprophytes, also require a warm, humid environment.
Fungi normally begin their life cycle as an airborne spore that settles on roofs, especially the asphalt-shingle ones. The spores on the northern exposure of the roof stand a better chance of survival because that portion of the roof is the last part to dry after a rain or morning dew. This raises the humidity on the surface of the shingle, thus creating a perfect feeding and breeding ground.

The tar used in roofing is fossilized, dead organic matter -- and an important food source for fungi. Asphalt, at the granule base, is normally consumed first. Once these granules dislodge, accelerated deterioration will occur. Ceramic granules represent the outer hard shell that protects against hail and other falling debris. Ceramic granules protect against damaging UV radiation and insulate the roof against extreme heat. So you can understand that their dislodgement by the growing fungal colonies can be detrimental to our roofs' longevity. Surprisingly, the blue-green algae are also food for the fungi.

While not all mold (fungi) and algae pose a health danger, some are harmful, especially for us older folks, younger children and people who suffer from asthma and respiratory problems. Their spores, which are on your roof, can get inside your home because they end up on the driveway and walkways from rain, and are easily tracked inside. They can even be drawn into our air conditioning systems and eventually populate our ducts.

Different mold species can have varying health effects, but it is important to remember that any excessive mold growth needs to be taken care of, regardless of the species. Any excessive mold growth can lead to increased allergies, toxicity, and house/building structural problems.

EATOILS™ BT200™ has proven to be an effective environmentally friendly treatment product for the removal of 'black mold' and various types of roof mold. EATOILS™ BIOBLAST™ is also very effective for most varieties of mold and mildew. These products are easy to apply directly to the affected area where they will quickly break down the bonds between the mold and mildew and the roofing material. Usually a dwell time of 30 minutes or so is all that is needed to remove the discoloration and return the roofing material to its original color. A simple rinse and the active ingredients in our EATOILS™ products will remain 'on duty' helping to prevent a return of the discoloration.

EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ Deep Cleans All Hard Surfaces - Even Granite + Corian™!

With the emphasis today on specialty cleaners that only do particular jobs, it is a real discovery to find a product that outperforms traditional cleaners and yet can truly be a multi-purpose cleaning product - both industrially and for household use.

EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ is that product.  SUPERFRESH™ is GREENER-CHOICE™ APPROVED GREEN, it contains no harmful ingredients, it is pH neutral, and it outperforms traditional cleaning products - virtually every time!

A few years ago when we were developing our EATOILS™ product line we were looking for 1) an exceptional floor cleaning product, 2) a bathroom cleaner/deodorizer, and 3) a continuous cleaning product - ideally we were looking for a single product that would replace many household cleaners with a single product - we developed this product - EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ - it does an amazing job today - and it will keep on working for up to 4 days with continuous microbial cleaning action!

The unique formula in our EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ not only removes all soils, grime, dirt, and sources of odor from the surface at the time of cleaning, but it keeps on working deep down in the pores of every surface including cracks and crevices to remove any residual materials.  Odors are eliminated immediately - and they don't come back, making this an ideal product for kitchen and bathroom cleaning, dumpster and loading area cleaning, and a multitude of specific hard surface cleaning and deodorizing applications for both industrial and household use.  It is strong enough for the toughest industrial and restaurant use yet gentle for home use.

As the product is pH neutral, it won't harm delicate surfaces so you can safely use it on wood, granite, Corian™, etc. without worrying about damaging anything.  Basically, if it isn't harmed by water, it won't be affected by EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™.  It contains no solvents or harsh chemicals so it won't harm the finish on your floor, counter, furniture, etc. - in fact it will probably brighten it up.  Our clients typically report that floors are much brighter after being cleaned with EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™.

And now for the best part - the cost of cleaning with our products works out to be actually much less than other products on the market, especially when you consider the total cost of cleaning.  How does it add up?

1) You only use a very small amount of product - 1 - 2 ounces of product per gallon of warm water (other products require a higher concentration therefore a higher cost per use).

2) You only need to wipe or mop the product onto the surface - no rinsing required - saving you time and money.  Other products require virtually double the time when you consider rinsing.

3) You get more mileage out of your pail of wash water with our products - other products get dirty fast, forcing you to pour out the old wash water every xxx square feet (you can insert the number here that you are encountering in your facility).  If you don't change it you'll need to clean the area again because you are continually putting your dirty mop onto the floor, spreading the dirty wash water back onto the floor -  When you clean with our products you are inoculating the surface with so many cleaning microbes that you can actually go until you are virtually at the end of your pail before mixing a new batch.

4) Since you are wetting everything once with our product your total time required to clean is much less than alternative methods - just mop and go.

5) Just get the area wet with the product and it will start to clean everything in sight - and everything not in sight (continuous cleaning action means you get additional cleaning while you are at home in bed - it also means you can clean less often).

6) When you clean with our product you are also deodorizing - removing the sources of odors in one pass.  Other products only mask the smell so you need to clean more often when you use them.

7) Cost of mop heads and cloths is much lower -  traditional products actually eat mops - chemicals that break down the dirt also break down the mop head - our clients report that a typical high use facility goes through a mop head per week per major area of cleaning when using traditional cleaners.  Our clients report that mop heads last at least 6 times as long when our products are used - they stay cleaner longer and they don't deteriorate nearly as quickly with use.  As a test, just compare the smell of your used mop head after cleaning with our products versus your current cleaning product - you'll find that it doesn't smell like mold - but it actually smells clean - our products don't eat your mop heads.

8) Pour the residue down your slowest moving drain and it will actually clean the drain and keep it running clear - alternative products actually can clog drains causing increased maintenance costs.

Take a few moments to figure out what your total cost of cleaning is and compare it to the total cost if you were to use our products - you'll be surprised to find out how much real money you are spending every time you clean with those other products.  We believe that once you have the information you will decide to try out our EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ and start saving money - every time you clean!

Deep Cleaning Vs. Sanitizing - What's Best?

Following the recent outbreaks of H1N1, MRSA, C. Difficile, and increasing fears of microbial and viral pandemics as reported in the media in the past few years, the public has finally caught on to the idea that germs are everywhere. With this awareness has come the expectation that we should be eradicating germs every day and everywhere.

In spite of the increased awareness about germs, there is still a need for clarification of situations where sanitizing (killing germs) and deep cleaning (removing soils, germs and other organic materials from surfaces) are required. To put it simply, soaps and cleaning products (including deep cleaning products like EATOILS™ products) do the 'cleaning', while sanitizers (including bleach, vinegar, peroxides, quat (quaternary ammonia), ammonia, etc.) kill germs - both the good ones and the bad ones.

Both jobs are necessary, particularly in sensitive environments however, many contractors and clients believe that sanitizing can be 'the magic bullet' - a one step solution - for solving the cleaning/sanitizing challenge. Both jobs need to be done yet there is no one product that does both jobs.

CLEANING Regular soaps and traditional cleaning products remove surface soils and most germs. Deep cleaning MICROBIAL products like EATOILS™ GREENER-CHOICE™ APPROVED GREEN cleaning products also work like traditional cleaning products to clean soils and remove germs.  However these products also keep on working for up to 4 days - with microbial cleaning action - to remove trace organic matter from deep in surface pores, cracks and crevices; leaving the cleaned surfaces exceptionally clean.

SANITIZING Sanitizing products kill everything on the surface for the few seconds they are in contact with the surface. This is ideal for situations where you want to prevent the spread of diseases or harmful microbial & viral infestations.

In reality, there is no 'one best solution' - a combination of both product groups is actually the best overall solution to keep a facility both clean and germ free - and a combination that effectively optimizes the use of Deep Cleaning products will yield the best overall results. As the Deep Cleaning products require time to do their total job, the timing of when to use each product can be critical - for example, you wouldn't want to apply Deep Cleaning products right before you apply a sanitizer as you would defeat the purpose of the Deep Cleaning product by killing the good microbes before they would have a chance to do their work. On the other hand, you could easily apply the Deep Cleaning product 30 minutes after sanitizing. Also, sanitizing "touch surfaces" like door handles, toilet seats, taps, hand drying equipment, etc. is probably a good part of a regular and frequent treatment regimen for a sanitizing product. In this case you might opt for sanitizing throughout the day and Deep Cleaning at quitting time (which would allow the Deep Cleaning product to work non-stop overnight) to yield your best result.

Depending on the sensitivity of the location (with hospitals, doctor's offices, daycare facilities, nursing homes and food service ranking as highly sensitive locations - factories and office buildings ranking as least sensitive locations) a cleaning contractor or janitorial staff can adjust the balance between the frequency of use of each of the two types of products - deep cleaners and sanitizers to meet the needs of their client/facility.

We have clients in all sectors of food service, hospitality, industry, health care, institutional, and government using our EATOILS™ GREENER-CHOICE™ APPROVED GREEN Deep Cleaning products. We can help you to design and set up a balanced application schedule for your facility using Deep Cleaning products and sanitizing products. If you have any questions or application concerns please call us toll free at 866 621 8244 (North America) or come to our website - customer service personnel are standing by, ready to serve you - Mon - Fri - 9:00 - 5:00 EST/EDT.

Cleaning Grout The EATOILS(TM) Way

Grout can easily discolor with dirt & grime

Ceramic tiles and grout tend to get dirty very quickly and are one of the most challenging cleaning tasks in any facility. The buildup of dirt, grease and grime in grout is very unpleasant to look at because of the drastic color change that alters the appearance of floors and walls. The way most facilities accomplish this task is with brushes and harsh cleaning chemicals. Some of these harsh chemicals, however, will discolor the grout or will erode sections of it.

EATOILS™ SUPERFRESH™ and SUPER FLOOR DEGREASER™ are the safe alternative to harsh chemicals for grout cleaning.  These products can work wonders on grout without the consequences of using of harsh chemicals. These products can easily remove the dirt build-up and other organic materials that typically accumulates in tile grout over time.  In as little as 30 minutes you can  see a dramatic difference.  It's easy to do - just follow these steps: 1) mix the product - usually 2-4 oz. / gallon of warm water will do the trick, 2) wet the floor - soak it with up to 1/2 inch of the solution and allow it to sit for 30 minutes or so, 3) agitate the entire area with a soft bristle brush or power scrubber - and watch the ugly discoloration disappear! 4) then rinse or squeegee the surface to bring the tiles and grout back to 'like new' finish and color!

For heavily discolored areas or high traffic locations you can follow up with a steam vapor cleaner to quickly restore the grout to its original color. The high heat, low moisture and gentle pressure from the steam forces the dirt out of the grout and brings it to the surface where it is easily wiped away or extracted.  There are a number of high end and franchise restaurants that use this approach to clean up the kitchens of restaurants before transferring ownership where the objective is to have a 'brand new' kitchen for the new owner and . . . this is how they do it.

There are some exceptions where grout cleaners are not the solution. If the grout is sealed and the dirt and grime are beneath the sealer, neither EATOILS™ products nor steam will get the dirt out from under the sealing material. So, you will need to strip the seal then use our products to get the grime out, then re-seal.

Also, old, broken grout (where holes and cracks are visible) should not be cleaned with EATOILS™ products. Grout erosion is usually the result of a chemical reaction from the acidic cleaning agent that was previously used. In those cases the grout should be replaced, then cleaned with our EATOILS™ products.

For a larger size container you should try our EATOILS™ BIOBLAST™   THESE PRODUCTS ARE ALL GREENER-CHOICE APPROVED GREEN.
