Clean Up That Oily Mess With EATOILS BT200

Good morning Charles, attached you will find some pictures of an oil spill we recently cleaned up in a parking lot using BT200(TM).  The oily area was approx. 6000 sq. ft. in total size. On arrival we used the BT200(TM) at 5:1, agitated with a stiff broom, and then pressure washed with a hot water pressure washer.  We then applied another application at 5:1 and let it set.  About a week later, with heavy rain in the forecast the following day, we went back, applied again at 5:1, agitated it again with a stiff broom, and walked away.  The next day we received heavy rains storms.  We went back the next day and found that virtually all the stains had disappeared. We used a total of 4 gallons of BT200 to do the job.

I should also add, that this oil spill had set for over a week, with vehicle traffic driving through it and pushing it into the pores of the concrete as well as tracking it everywhere.  Prior to us finally be chosen to do the work, (they had tried one other company at a much lower price than ours), that had zero affect on the stains.

Knowing we had rain in the forecast for the next day, I applied BT200™ at 5:1(5 parts water to 1 part BT200™) in a small circle in the dirtiest part of the stain. It is always best to apply in the late afternoon or early evening, when the concrete is a little cooler. I then took a street broom and lightly agitated until I got a white lather. It doesn't require scrubbing, just a couple of brisk strokes of the broom until it lathers up. Then....I walked away. I came back the next day, and the rain and BT200™ had cleaned the spot perfectly. That's what I call using Mother Nature and Green Cleaning at it's best.”

Got Fuel in Your Fresh Water Tank? EATOILS Has The Answer

2) Plug the end of the tubing with a rubber/cork stopper and pierce the tubing every inch or so (on the portion of the tubing that will sit on the bottom of the tank,

3) Fill the tank with luke warm water(80 – 95 degrees F),

4) Add ½ gallon of BT200™ to the tank and fill it to the brim,

5) Turn on the aerator and run it for 24 – 36 hours,

6) Flush the tank and re-fill it with warm water and repeat steps 4 and 5 and 6,

7) Flush and fill with warm water and a 10% solution of chlorine bleach(10 gallons per 100 gallons of water) and aerate for 3 hours,

8) Flush and fill with fresh water.

This tank cleaning method has been used successfully for a number of fresh water tanks on pleasure craft and RV's over the past few years and it can be a great solution for you should this ever happen to you.

Hydraulic Oil Stains On Asphalt? EATOILS(TM) BT200(TM) Safely Fades Them Away

Oil stains of any kind on asphalt or roadways can be an ugly mess. They can leave the pavement with a dark stain that will look bad for years! EATOILS(TM) BT200(TM) actually fades away the stains in just a few weeks. After the initial cleaning and brushing with a 'street broom', at 5:1 (5 parts water to 1 part BT200(TM)), then rinse to remove discoloration and 'free oil'(if you can see a rainbow of oil products on the surface when rinsing you still have 'free oil' and should re-apply until the rainbow disappears) - capture all rinse water and dispose via sanitary drain. Then follow up with weekly spraying of the stain with a 5:1 mixture - do not rinse. These are the instructions to get results like these.

Keith Drew of Renew Crew of Greenville, in Greenville, SC, was challenged with a really bad hydraulic oil stain at the local Honda dealership. Keith and his crew were called in to try to make the problem go away. "As you can see this spill happened at a Honda Dealership in Greenville, SC. They were taking a delivery of new cars from a auto transporter, when the transporter blew a hydraulic line. Obviously the hydraulic oil spewed everywhere and they were unable to move the transporter so it continued spilling unabated for a while. The dealership went back and forth with the transporter company for several weeks before calling us and even threatened to sue if the spill was not cleaned up or the lot repaved. 

 The transport company called us to clean up the spill - and we told them that hydraulic oil on asphalt is one of the hardest spills to clean up - especially a month after the spill occurred. So, we told them we would not be able to help them to clean up the spill. They begged us to at least try and after researching your product(EATOILS(TM) BT200(TM)), we  told them we would try but would not guarantee any type of result. Their answer was that if we tried and failed, they were really no worse off and would have to deal with it a different way. They felt our charge of $2,500 was worth at least trying - and a relatively small amount of money in the grand scheme. 

So far the results have shown gradual improvement, although the client  recognizes there is still a way to go. I go weekly to spray with BT200(TM) solution and always take a picture of the same spot so we can document the difference."

Here's Drew's final comment from June 19, 2013, "The final pictures …. There is some slight discoloration but that is just because it is wet. We had a rain shower earlier and that is residual rain. Essentially the oil stains are gone!" Thanks Drew for documenting the progress.

A Silk Shirt And Red Wine – Not Usually A good Combination – SUPER CARPET-FRESH™ To The Rescue

One of our regular customers dropped by today to tell us all about her most recent experience with our products. She says,

“My son bought a beautiful bright silk shirt when he was in Italy last year. He loves that shirt so much that he wears it for most special occasions. EATOILS(TM) Products Used To Clean Up Diesel Tanker Spill On Highway In Northern Ontario

In April, 2012, a tanker truck, containing a full load of diesel fuel, was disabled and rolled over on a highway in Northern Ontario, spilling diesel fuel onto the adjacent land, wetland, and waterway. The truck was removed and an initial site clean up was completed. Representatives from the MOE(Ministry of the Environment) and MNR(Ministry of Natural Resources) were consulted, soil and water samples were taken, and the residual amount of contamination was determined to be sufficient to initiate a remediation program as soon as possible. The impacted area was approximately 50 ft. X 50 ft. X 1-2 ft of depth. The water table was below the impacted site at approximately 5 ft. (initial levels of TPH were determined to be 300,000 ppm(parts per million) on site).

The client called our office and advised us of the details involved and we put together a treatment program to address the particular characteristics of the site – large wetland area on one side of the road where the tanker had lost the fuel, with a waterway leading out of the wetland into a culvert below the roadway and out to a creek bed on the other side of the road.

Product was prepared and shipped to the contractor's location and delivered the following day. Over the next 4 days the site received 4 – 6 inches of snow. In the meantime, the contractor was building his equipment to treat the site and he was able to apply the first treatment as the snow was melting – a few days later. Our remediation plan called for a staged dosing of oil eating microbes, natural surfactants plus nutrients for a period of 35 days. Readings were taken on the 25^th day and the TPH had dropped to below 6000 ppm. On the 50^th day additional readings were taken and levels were below detectable range for TPH but a few individual fractals were reported in the 200-250 ppb(parts per billion) range. Even though the microbes were continuing to reduce the hydrocarbons, an additional dose of microbes was added on the 61^st day, just to be sure that the site would be released as clear in the next few days.

Independent readings were taken at the site and they confirmed our preliminary findings. The site was released and the bog was only minimally impacted by the remediation process.

A little background on why I LOVE your products...
